halloween honeys

we attended a kiddie halloween party today so i was forced to finish up the costumes a little earlier than october 30th this year.

many of you have seen them on facebook, but i'm still going to share. because they rock. 

well, at least this one does:

and then there was my mummy.
this thing was much tougher than i'd anticipated. because how hard could it be?  just wrap him up.  well, for it to have a non-uniform look, it takes being CAREFUL and going slowly.  he was less than a willing participant but after all the guff he gave me he did finally say "i apprecate this, mom".  awww...
the hat still needed work. but we photo shot it anyhow.
and when i brought out the makeup to make him look more mummified, he threw a mini-fit. apparently last year when i painted his face i traumatized him. so we just did a little dark around the eyes. a LITTLE. i told him he wasn't going to fool anybody into thinking he was a mummy because he looked too, well, alive.

afterward, we took of the majority of the costumes and did a little errand-running.

people really give you looks and make comments when your baby has a purple mohawk.
