I have been practicing with cake's this year too. I did a Dora Cake for Casey's bday, a Baby Einstein Caterpillar Cake for a friends 1 year old party and just this past weekend I made an Easter Bunny Cake. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with fondant. I have used icing in a piping bag, which I like alot. But I've heard other mom's use fondant and they had great success. One thing I know is you have to put a thin layer of buttercream frosting on first before the fondant. I found this info on the Food Network: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_32666,00.html

Ya know, I watch Food Network all the time, but haven't taken the time to actually "learn" stuff due to the lack of appreciation I'd get from the roomies if I tried to make ANYTHING they make on there;) Good luck with the cake, take pictures when it's all done, I'm sure it'll be GREAT!!!

I have no idea, I just order one.
